Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder about 30g
  • 1/4 cup milk dairy or unsweetened almond/oat milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 pinch salt optional, deepens the chocolate flavor

Method

Method
  1. Add the cottage cheese, protein powder, milk, cocoa powder, sweetener, and salt to a blender.
  2. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes, until completely smooth. Scrape down the sides if needed — you want zero visible curds before moving on.
  3. Add the ice cubes and blend again until thick and frosty, similar to soft-serve. If it's too thick for your blender to move, add a small splash more milk.
  4. Pour into a glass and eat right away with a spoon or a thick straw, the way you'd eat an actual Frosty.

Notes

Have a Ninja Creami? Skip the ice, freeze the blended base overnight, then run it on the Lite Ice Cream or Smoothie Bowl setting. This makes 2 servings and is best fresh.
