General food-safety setup
- Start with clean hands and a clean board. Keep hard-boiled eggs, tuna, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, and deli turkey refrigerated until you use them.
- For chilled snacks, serve right away or return leftovers to the fridge within 2 hours. For deli turkey and cooked eggs, discard anything left at room temperature longer than 2 hours.

Notes
Practical substitutions: Use lactose-free Greek yogurt or cottage cheese if needed. Swap rice cakes for toast, cucumber rounds for crackers, canned salmon or chicken for tuna, shelled edamame for pods, hummus for mustard, or tofu slices for turkey. For gluten-free snacks, choose gluten-free crackers or rice cakes. Season to taste with lemon, pepper, herbs, chili flakes, or everything bagel seasoning.
